Saudi Government to monitor Blackberry messaging?

A great site for all things related to mobile telephony textually.org reports that Saudi Arabia intends to monitor Blackberry instant messaging – one of the more secure instant message platforms and one reason why it has been more successful in the corporate world than the iPhone – in order to track terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda.

Saudi Arabia follows the Indian governments attempts at tracking Blackberry messaging following revelations that the Mumbai terrorists used Blackberry’s. After threatening to kick Canadian-based Blackberry owners Research in Motion out of the country, the company handed over access to its secure messaging platform.
